Finding Hidden Shops

PS2 Game Tip - Look at road signs around the city. They often have colored shapes (yellow triangles, etc.) to guide the way to the shops or other important buildings. Also, look for street-lights casting a colored glow. This indicates that there is a shop very close.

Get Nitrous quick
PS2 Game Tip - To quikly fill up you Nitrous meter before a race, simply turn while holding down the handbreak and accellerate and you will do a 360, which give you 400 points. You can do this up to three times

Cool Hydraulics Move
PS2 Game Tip - Going at medium speed, start trying to drive in a cirlce. Every half turn, press r1.. keep doing this about 6 or so spins, the driver will automatically go and do some sick hydro moves. The camera will also change positions.

NFS Underground 2 Glitches

Hydraulics + Hangtime

PS2 Game Tip - After you have equipped your car (or SUV) with Hydraulics (Level 1, 2, or 3 will work) pull up to another vehicle or a wall and hold the R1 button and move your Left Analog Stick up and down in a rhythmic fashion to get your car rocking up and down (not bouncing). If you are close enough to the obstacle in front of you, your car will shoot straight up into the air, sometimes doing outrageous flips and spins. Once airbourne, release all the buttons, and if your car has soared into the sky parallel with the ground, "Hangtime" points will start to add up, sometimes 400+ Not very purposeful, but rather hilarious to watch. At the very least, you are refilling your nitrous/racebreaker. *Works in Online mode also*

Pop a wheelie (or a reverse wheelie)
PS2 Game Tip - Once your vehicle's Hydraulics have been upgraded to Level 3, if you are in a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, get your front end to bounce continuosly by double tapping and then holding the R1 button (handbrake) and pushing up on the Left Analog Stick a few times. You should now be able to release the R1 button and your RWD car (or SUV) should continue to bounce its front end. Having your transmission set to manual for best results, rev your motor all the way up and then shift into 1st gear. If your timing was right, your car will surge forward and pop a wheelie at the same time. Using nitrous once you shift into 1st gear will give you better results and may allow you to shift gears a few times before your car's front end drops back to the ground. You may flip over backwards if you take off too fast. With a front-wheel-drive car, simply get the rear hydraulics of your car bouncing and use reverse to pop a wheelie going backwards. You may have to rock your car back and forth by switching between forward and reverse throttle, but with the right touch, your FWD car should be able to do this trick also (going backwards of course), even though much less dramatic compared to going forward in a RWD car. You can have your car flip over in reverse also, or it may stand on its nose. This is not very purposeful, besides having other players (online) wondering how you popped a wheelie off the line. Sometimes you can jump other cars using this glitch, but during a race, you probably will not have enough time to go through all the steps. Worth a few laughs at least, and as said before, will keep other players (online) wondering...

Combining regular or hood vinyls with unique vinyls.

1. Clear all the vinyls off your car or set the vinyls up exactly the way you want WITHOUT using any uniques.
2. Once you have the regular or hood vinyls set up the way you want, install them.
3. Go back into the vinyls menu and select the Unique vinyl you want and install it. Once you install it, both the unique and regular vinyls will be installed at the same time. This allows you to combine the unique vinyls that actually look good, with at least some sort of hood vinyls or body vinyls that make it a complete set. This also raises your car's Star level higher than using just regulars or just uniques, so it makes it far easier to get to 10 stars.

Camera Glitch

When you crash into a car you will be presented with a slow motion cinematic display. Press the "Start" button to enter the pause menu, pressing the button again will resume the game, but this time you will see the camera change positions (behind the car) and you'll still be in slow motion. This can be used towards your advantage however as this command is entered you can prevent yourself from tumbbling, or tilting the car, and land safetly back on the blacktop.

High Hydro Jump:

Take your car and drive it so that it's front bumper is nice and flat against the wall(if you look from the top it should look like a T ). Now use hydros and wiggle the left analog stick from left to right. Do this a few times and your car should go flying high into the air. If it doesn't work you aren't touching the wall nicely.

Sticky Vinyl:

If you finish the timed race were you can get the unique vinyl's, and you choose one and you already have a unique on they both will stay on your car..

PS2 Game Cheat - Select pro-career mode, then enter CHACHING as a name. The game will return to the main menu to confirm correct code entry. Enter the name of your choice, then begin game play.

All tracks
PS2 Game Cheat - Select pro-career mode, then enter WHATEXIT as a name. The game will return to the main menu. Enter the name of your choice, then begin game play.

Expert mode
PS2 Game Cheat - Select pro-career mode, then enter ALLOUTAI as a name. The game will return to the main menu to confirm correct code entry. Enter the name of your choice, then begin game play. After a few wrecks, it will become a challenge to attain first place.

Fast racers
PS2 Game Cheat - Select pro-career mode, then enter ALLQUIKI as a name. All racers will have the speed of the Ravage1000cc Quad ATV.

PS2 Game Tips

Canyon Country - Jump on the train

PS2 Game Tip - Go near the bridge that the train travels on. Go on the right side of it so you can see the train. When the time is correct, hit the gas and jump diagonally to try to land on top of the train. Watch your speed, preload meter, and the angle that you are jumping.
Note - This trick is very difficult, and requires practice.

PS2 Game Tip - Go to the train station (located near the beginning, just follow the tracks), and go to the back of the station. There should be a wide stairway up to the first floor of the station. Go to the right and there should be another stairway. Go up this stairway and stop about half-way up the stairs (hold Brake to stop). Wait for the train to appear go forward fast and try to land on the train. Note: This may require several attempts. Once you get on, make sure you stay on by holding Brake. Also be also to be careful how fast you go on the stairs as you may fall off.

Canyon Country - Unlimited tricks
PS2 Game Tip - Follow the train tracks until you see a large canyon on the left. Go into the canyon and make a left into the cave. Go to the end and you will see a pueblo house. Go slowly up the stairs, then make a right. Get on one of the ladders. You can balance on them to do unlimited tricks.

Crater Park - Unlimited tricks
PS2 Game Tip - Go to Crater Park in freestyle mode and find one of the triangular tents. Slowly go up one side of the tent until you are stuck on top. You can now do as much tricks as you want. To get off, simply go forward very slowly.

Fort Roberts - Lookout tower
PS2 Game Tip - Select "Cross Country Enduro" then choose the "Fort Roberts" level. Also choose the "Lap Attack", and "Long Race" options for the waypoint track. Choose a character and being game play. There should be a gray building in front of you at the fourth gate. Enter the open door. And as soon as you go in, turn right and go up the stairs. Go slowly, and when you get to the top, you will be in a hallway. Keep going until you see more stairs. Go up them very slowly. At the top, go straight to get to the lookout tower. Go slow and do not fall. Go through two doorways. Keep going straight, then go up one more staircase. You will now be up in the lookout tower. Remember, go slow as you can fall easily up there. If you fall, you will have to start all over.

Best setup for any ATV in Enduro and Free-Style Competition
PS2 Game Tip - When selecting your ATV, be sure to customize your bike settings in the "Garage".

Tires - Low Friction for higher speeds
Shocks - Maximum Stiff for better landings (far right)
Spring - Maximum Soft to jump higher (far left)
Acceleration - 3 moves to the left (faster top speed) of the default (center)
Steering - 2 moves to the right of the default (center)
Braking - 3 moves to the right of the default (far right)

Best setup for any ATV in the Maxxis and Stadium
PS2 Game Tip - When selecting your ATV, be sure to customize your bike settings in the "Garage".

Tires - Higher Friction (makes the tires bite into the dirt)
Shocks - Maximum Stiff for better, faster landings (far right)
Spring - Maximum Hard for lower, faster jumps (far right)
Acceleration - 4 moves to the right (faster take-offs) of the default (center)
Steering - 2 moves to the right of the default (center)
Braking - 3 moves to the right of the default (far right)

Worst four wheeler
PS2 Game Tip - The worst four wheeler is the Lime Green Kawasaki.

Recommended four wheelers
PS2 Game Tip - The best four wheeler, besides the bonus vehicle, is the Polaris 500.
PS2 Game Tip - The best four wheeler is the Havoc Razor. It is better than the Polaris 500 but worst than the bonus vehicle.

PS2 Game Tip - The best ATV is the Honda 400ex, but if you want a lot of power for the freestyle competition, you should use the Polaris 500. For racing you should choose the Yamaha Banshee.

PS2 Game Tip - The best ATV beside the bonus vehicle is the Havoc Proformer.

PS2 Game Tip - The best quads on the game are the Havoc Razor and the Polaris 500. The Ravage 1000 will beat those two in the long run, but the Havoc Razor and the Polaris 500 will beat the Ravage from the start to top end.

Getting new four wheelers
PS3 Game Tip - Go to any race and win a championship. Go back to the championship you just won and go to the pro races. Two new quads will be unlocked.

Front wheelie
PS2 Game Tip - Do a regular wheelie, but immediately before you are about to flip over, press Clutch, Brake, and Forward on the Analog-stick or the D-pad. Note: This works best with the Ravage 1000.

"Walk" your four-wheeler
PS2 Game Tip - Do a regular wheelie, but press Down/Left or Down/Right. You should go up on one wheel. Then, start rotating back in forth Down/Right or Down/Left (depending on which way you started), while always watching your speed. It is a little tricky at first. Note: This works
best with the Banshee.

Explode off your ATV
PS2 Game Tip - Go off a jump and get big air. While airborne, do the Scissors move (Down/Left + Triangle) then hold that so you continue to go in the Down/Left motion. When you are far enough into that motion, you will launch off your ATV.

Split-X
PS2 Game Tip - Press Right + Triangle to do the Split-X trick.

Quick turns
PS2 Game Tip - Take the inside and use the clutch (L1) for a quick turn.

Press Up and the direction you want to drive while accelerating.

Burnout
PS2 Game Tip - Go in reverse then release Square (Brake). You will see the dirt in the air. This works best with the Havor Razor.

Return to track at high speed
PS2 Game Tip - Go to freestyle mode and on any level go off the track and keep going. You will eventually find a huge fall and then a hill of about the same size (do not fall off). After the hill you should notice that the landscape turns flat. Drive along here and after a short time you should be sent flying back to the track at high speed.

Big air
PS2 Game Tip - If you drive your four wheeler to the boundaries, you can fly a very long way back down to the ground.

Glitch - Odd camera angle
PS2 Game Tip - Hold R1 + L1 + camera Analog-stick Forward. The view will zoom in to about six inches away. It is difficult to steer, so exercise caution.

Glitch - Unlimited stunts
PS2 Game Tip - Go to the freestyle competition area and play on Crater Park. Get to the arch and find a lookout deck with two scopes. Go over to the deck and do a wheelie onto the bar. Keet it balanced and your wheels will be off the ground. Do stunts while on it and they will last forever.
